• GSK entered a multi-asset licensing and collaboration agreement worth up to ~$12B with Hengrui Pharmaceuticals, securing ex-China rights to its PDE3/4 inhibitor HRS-9821 and up to 11 additional programs, including a $500M upfront payment
• Roche inked a licensing agreement worth up to $1.07B with Qyuns Therapeutics for its preclinical first-in-class long-acting TSLP/IL-33 bispecific antibody QX031N, including a $75M upfront payment
• Takeda entered a global licensing and collaboration agreement worth up to $11.4B with Innovent Biologics for two late-stage oncology assets (IBI363, a PD-1/IL-2 bispecific, and IBI343, a Claudin 18.2 ADC), including a $1.2B upfront payment and a $100M equity investment.

Driven by the remarkable scientific discoveries (Great Science) made by leading Chinese biotech and medtech companies, we are witnessing Chinese out-licensing deals almost every week. Despite these advancements, several major challenges persist, such as reimbursement, product commercialization, venture capital financing, and entry into the global market.
